Iraqi troops are advancing to liberate Mosul: Abadi

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Thursday that the security forces are advancing towards Mosul with an aim to free it from ISIS strongholds.

AhlulBayt News Agency - Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced on Thursday that the security forces are advancing towards Mosul with an aim to free it from ISIS strongholds. 

Abadi, in a press statement, said, “Our advancing forces close in on Mosul with an aim of liberating it from ISIS grip. We face a challenge of different kind as the ISIS will try to kill the innocent civilians for compensating to their defeats; but we do have plans to counter these. Not just Iraq, but the world as a whole is at a risk of terrorism and unanimous cooperation is required to thwart the threats.”

Abadi added, ” The organized crimes like murder, kidnapping and corruption represent a serious challenge and the need is of some holistic efforts for countering these. Our troops are capable of eliminating these groups.”
